Hello Loves!
I just had the most amazing trip to New York with L’Oreal, where I truly met some of the most inspiring and devoted women. L’Oreal Paris hosted their annual Woman of Worth Ceremony which celebrates 10 extraordinary women who are making a difference in their communities through volunteering and philanthropy.
These are just some of the most amazing women who had put their lives on hold to help those that are less fortunate than they are. This type of community service is done through the kindness of their own heart, and many seek nothing in return. This is what makes these people so special. I know that many people may decide to volunteer for different causes to help with their own future.
Not only can volunteering in different causes help those in need, but it can also put the volunteers in good stead when it comes to looking for a career. Writing your resume, with the help of somewhere like ARC Resumes NY (https://www.arcresumes.com/local/new-york/) and including the different types of volunteering work that you have completed can help to show employers that you may have the necessary skills needed to help with the job. And if you ask me, this is more important than anything.
And this is why these amazing people should be rewarded. Without their hard work, it can be hard for the world to become a better place to be. And I’m so lucky that I got to be involved in this amazing celebratory event.
I had the incredible honor of meeting Brittany Schiavone who founded Brittany’s Baskets of Hope (BBoH), a non-profit dedicated to bringing information, support and guidance to families welcoming babies with Down syndrome into their lives. Brittany is an amazing symbol of a strong woman who doesn’t let any obstacle stop her from reaching her goal. She stands firm in who she is, and is an example for all, that children with Down syndrome can really do anything.
I’m leaving New York feeling more inspired than ever. Thank you L’Oreal for inviting me to attend this spectacular event. Be sure to check out L’Oreal’s website to learn more about all the beautiful honorees of the Women of Worth Program.
