Hi babes! As most of you know, aiming for a healthy lifestyle and taking care of my body is something that I’m very passionate about! Being a professional dancer, I need to make sure that I’m treating my body well and staying strong even during my off-season! I’ve been trying a ton of new workouts lately, from boxing to weight training, I try to always mix it up and keep things fresh.
Recently, I’ve been obsessed with Pilates. It reminds me a little bit of dance, in that the moves are very precise and it takes a ton of core strength! It’s a combination of gymnastics, yoga and ballet and works to lengthen and stretch all the major muscle groups in the body in a balanced fashion. It improves flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness.
My favorite pilates studio here in Utah is called Core Body Pilates! My cousins favourite pilates studio is Sydney Physio Solutions, as she lives in Australia. There are so many AMAZING health benefits from Pilates, including increased muscle strength and tone, improved stabilization of your spine, improved posture, and it has also helped me a ton with stress management and relaxation!
